New York, 26 January 2010  As more consumers consider environmental features important in their purchasing decisions, businesses have a keen interest in communicating the ‘green’ attributes of their products. Getting the message right is far from easy. To help marketers and advertisers avoid the mistakes of vague, non-specific or misleading environmental claims, the International Chamber of Commerce has produced a new global Framework for Responsible Environmental Marketing Communications.

Merits of mediation in the spotlight at ICC conference
Paris, 19 January 2010  To help legal and business professionals take advantage of mediation as a form of dispute resolution, ICC – in conjunction with the American Bar Association Sections of Dispute Resolution and International Law – will host a one-day conference on how to use this cheaper and business-oriented method of settling disputes.

ICC to sponsor forum on arbitrator independence
Paris, 19 January 2010  A conference on arbitrator independence that will bring together former secretary generals of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and feature a mock ICC Court Plenary Session will be held on 26 February.

ICC calls on tax authorities to review tax treatment of international takeovers and mergers
Paris, 18 January 2010  ICC has today issued a statement calling on governments to review their approach to the taxation of international takeovers, reorganizations and mergers.
