The Hague, the Netherlands, 11 April 2012  ICC provided business input for the United Nations’ (UN) upcoming Rio+20 Conference at a two-day consultation beginning in The Hague, the Netherlands, today with the aim of further mapping out the private sector’s role in the transition to a green economy.

Private sector role in sustainable development grows stronger ahead of Rio summit
New York, 27 March 2012   Only a few months prior to the Rio+20 Conference, some 100 representatives of governments, business and other stakeholders gathered in New York for a high-level dialogue on the business case for sustainable development.

Business calls for accelerated joint action for green growth
Paris, 1 March 2012  ICC green economy leaders advocated principles required for a transition towards a green economy at several ministerial roundtables and multi-stakeholder dialogues in Nairobi, Kenya, to provide input to the Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development in June 2012.

Durban, 12 December 2011   ICC congratulates the South African presidency for leading the efforts in concluding the 17th conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and welcomes the decision to negotiate a new and inclusive legal agreement on climate change by 2015, which will take effect by 2020.
