Event on mediation at ICC in French
On 15 September 2010, ICC will host the French “Compagnie des Experts” for an event focusing on the topic of mediation. Mediation, the worldwide most commonly used form of amicable dispute resolution, is a dispute resolution procedure in which a neutral third party, the mediator, helps the parties to arrive at a negotiated settlement of their dispute which is acceptable to all parties involved in the disputes. The mediator’s role is to facilitate the parties’ settlement but not to provide and opinion on the merits of the dispute or to make a binding decision on the settlement of the dispute. |
