Arbitration cost calculator

This calculator enables prospective parties to an ICC arbitration to apply the scales of Appendix III.

Start by filling in the amount in dispute in US dollars, indicate the number of arbitrator(s) and choose the appropriate cost scales.

When the Request for arbitration is received by the Secretariat:

  • On or after 1 May 2010,  the arbitration will be submitted to 2010 scales.
  • Between 1 January 2008 and 30 April 2010, the arbitration will be submitted to 2008 scales.
  • Between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2007, the arbitration will be submitted to  2003 scales.
Accounting

The result provides an estimation of the advance on costs that may be fixed by the Court.

The total advance on costs is, for illustrative reasons only, based on the average arbitrator’s fees. However, the Court is free to, and regularly does, fix arbitrator’s fees an amount higher or lower than the average.
The estimation has no legal implications and should not be considered as necessarily reflecting the Court will fix in any given case.
Furthermore, the estimation does not include a budget for the arbitrators’ expenses, which are also paid up front as part of the advance on costs.
