ICC work with Inter-Governmental Organizations (IGOs) ICC enjoys a close working relationship with the United Nations and other intergovernmental organizations. Since 1946, ICC has enjoyed consultative status with the United Nations and its specialized agencies. With IGOs increasingly involved in matters of concern to the business community, it is important that its representatives be "at the table" when such matters are discussed. The emphasis on the crucial role of the private sector in the achievement of the international community's development goals makes its participation in IGO discussions even more necessary. This is a partial list of IGOs and other intergovernmental entities with which ICC collaborates:
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)

International Telecommunications Union (ITU)
